8 K tax credit

Hi All, Deal of the day is coming soon. I'm waiting for the list agent to get the pictures on line.

But in the meantime, I heard on NPR that there is a good chance that the 8K tax credit (which is actually a 10% of sales price tax credit up to 8K) will be extended. There is even talk about raising it to 10K.  A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush however, so if you're fencing sitting, JUMP NOW! And yes, the tax credit can be used for duplexes. It would only cover the owner occupied side though.

Deal of the Day update

275 SE Villa is under contract! It was a good pick for deal of the day!

Ran into an interesting group that does Moving within Corvallis. They are called College Town Movers. There number is 541-758-4083. They did a great presentation on the changes to the moving business in Oregon. As a result of the changes, more movers with be popping up. Make sure they are insured. It is illegal to give quotes over the phone. And interview several companies to make sure you are getting a good deal!

Some other intesting honorable mentions: 33850 Freeman Lane. 3 bedroom 3 bath, 1.33 acres has a seperate rental unit to off set the mortgage payment. If you are looking for a piece of rural property and have a 250K limit, consider this one. The rental unit could off set your mortgage payments.

3036 Chapel Drive, Corvallis.  3 bedroom 2 baths, $475,000, 10 acres. The house is nothing to right home about. It looks like they started a remodel and didnt finish. Lots of work to do in the house. The acreage is south facing though and borders the Mary's River. Even is summer, some areas of the land is wet and I think the price is high, but it is a nice piece of land and has potential.
